N.B. The "Choeurs de Trombones" was a mixture, as all five pitches were controlled by a single stop-key. These reeds were accommodated in an oak case above the gallery on the auditorium's left side. Directly opposite, on the right side, was an identical case containing the "Echo" section of the Antiphonal organ. Because neither of these gallery cases had display pipes, they simply looked like wardrobes with shutters!
The Des Choeurs de Trombones is a compound stop and will be an effort to imitate as closely as possible the chorus of four trombones as found in the orchestra and shall be particularly adapted for the playing of solo passages. The scale of the first rank will be of rather slim trombone scale. The scale of the second rank will be much larger and fuller, resembling that of a large scale smooth Tuba. This stop will be largely experimental and details will be worked out with the architect. The muted French Horn shall be a small scale French Horn, similar to the type produced by the Badger company, Rockville Center, Long Island. Special details concerning this stop will be furnished by the architect. The Vox Humana will be of the echo type. The Flute Celest rank will be made to beat with the Gedeckt. The Gedeckt...will be...a unit of small scale and softly voiced.
The Antiphonal organ will consist of practically two divisions, the Trombones of full voice being intended to add general power to the entire organ, capable of putting out a full voiced response to the high pressure reeds in the main organ. The balance of the stops are to be of the echo variety, the effect similar to that produced by the conventional echo organ.
