The legendary Mercury recordings of BOARDWALK PIPES and BACH ON THE BIGGEST are now available on CD thanks to the efforts of The Atlantic City Convention Hall Organ Society. Recorded in stereo in 1956 when it is thought that the organs were in nearly full working order, BOARDWALK PIPES reveals the 55-rank Ballroom Kimball organ in all its glory, and BACH ON THE BIGGEST presents the 449-rank Midmer-Losh organ in the reverberant acoustics of the Main Auditorium. The Grand Ophicleide on 100 of wind is heard on Wachet Auf! Robert Elmore was the organist for the recording sessions.
